Long ago, in a forgotten time, a great schism shook the Darkness Beneath. Perhaps it was a civil war. Perhaps a great revolution. Perhaps it was a wave cresting over a deep new-found evil. But whatever it was, it split the kingdom of the Drow, and drove two of the ancient houses into the daylight.

Throughout many centuries, these drow, now calling themselves Drau, lost their ancestral heritage and genetic connection with their former selves. Their skins paled to a light grey or purple, their hair turned a deep black, and their once brilliant white eyes now glowed with an incandescent yellow. And as their heritage fell away, so too did their slavery to the Dark Gods. They found new deities of strength and light, and so began an eternal crusade against the Darkness, using the shadows as their aid, through their mastery of obfuscation.

Game Statistics

Obfuscation (Su): A Drau ability the ability to travel between shadows as if by means of a dimension door spell. The limitation is that the magical transport must begin and end in an area with at least some shadow. A Drau can jump up to a total of 20 feet each day in this way; this may be a single jump of 20 feet or two jumps of 10 feet each.
